One of the biggest misconceptions about bisexual women is that it’s a phase or a transitional stage from heterosexuality to lesbianism. But for many it goes way beyond kissing a girl and liking it. Bisexual women feel attraction and are drawn to both genders sexually and emotionally – sometimes in very different ways. And according to a study done by Lisa Diamond, an associate professor of psychology and gender studies at the University of Utah, bisexuality was found to be “a stable identity [rather] than a transitional stage.”
So if you are a man in a relationship with a woman who identifies herself as bisexual, chances are she’ll identify with it for the rest of her life. Good news is that the same study also debunks the stereotype that bisexual women cannot be in monogamous relationships. For some men…and women…these findings are like hitting the jackpot.
