Not worth anyone’s time, patience, or money.
Worth it, but go with caution and an open mind.
I love it for everything it is. It’s so worth trying out.
Richard Rodgers Theater
226 West 46th St., NYC (Btwn Broadway & 8th Ave)

Love It:

Money: $$ - $$$; As you all know, Broadway tickets can be QUITE expensive, especially after a show wins 4 Tony awards. But if you're itching for a night at the theater, you can always get nose-bleed seats. They are about $40 and you have a great view of the entire stage.

At a Glance:  This last week my sister and I went on a classic New York outing.  We got dressed up, fought the winter elements and hopped on the 2 train. We walked over to the Richard Rigers Theater and waited on the long line for ticket holders all to see a Broadway show.

Love It:

Money: $ $; Each event ticket costs $38, plus tax.  In order to make it worth the price, be sure to eat and drink $38 worth of food and wine. Ticket prices vary for other Gourmate.com events.

At a Glance:  This networking event provided a pre-V-day celebration that allowed us to have fun with food and wine, setting the mood for a romantic weekend. However, the advertisement promised a wide variety of art and tastings; it did not live up to this expectation, with only two wines, two cheeses and three chocolates.

Discover at Glance: Ichiro Japanese Restaurant

Love it:

Money: $; Dinner for two with a glass of wine and beer, and an appetizer was about $41.

At A Glance:  At first site, Ichiro looks like the average Japanese restaurant in New York City. But what separates this one from the rest is the quiet atmosphere, catering host and good food. If you go early evening, you can have the small restaurant to yourself. But locals from the Upper East Side begin to stream in for deliveries and to quietly watch the Jets game. It's a bit unusual to watch football while sipping miso soup, instead of wings and fries. But I like the modern, calmer change.

Love It:

Money:
$ ; To get to this new mall, all it takes is $2.25 and a small trek behind the old Yankee Stadium.

At a Glance:  The Bronx Gateway Mall is the newest treat to the Bronx.  People no longer have to travel North to the Palisades Mall or the Galleria for their shopping pleasures.  They can just take the 4 train to 161 Street and bypass Yankee Stadium.  It is about a ten minute walk, but it is worth it. The Gateway Mall is filled with various chain stores like Home Depot, Target, BJ’s, Marshalls, Michael’s, Raymour and Flannigan, Best Buy, and many others.
